The income of members of the House of Representatives (DPR) has undergone significant changes after the government officially abolished the IDR 50 million per month housing permit as of August 31, 2025.
Previously, the total income of DPR members, including base salary and various allowances, could reach around IDR 116.21 million per month. This figure did not include car loans and official travel expenses, which they also received.
However, with the abolition of housing permits, the income structure of new DPR members has undergone adjustments. Now, the average take-home pay has dropped to around IDR 65.59 million per month.
DPR Income Details After the Changes
Based on documents from the Secretariat General of the Indonesian House of Representatives:
Basic salary: IDR 4.2 million
Spouse/husband allowance: IDR 420,000
Child allowance: IDR 168,000
Court fees: IDR 2 million
Position allowance: IDR 18.9 million
Rice allowance: IDR 289,680
Income Tax Article 21 allowance: IDR 6.2 million
Honorary allowance: IDR 7.187 million
Communication allowance: IDR 15.554 million
Functional improvement allowance: IDR 9.5 million
Legislative function honorarium: IDR 8 million
Supervisory function honorarium: IDR 8 million
Budget function honorarium: IDR 8 million
Assistant expert: IDR 5.25 million
Thus, the total monthly income, which previously reached IDR 116.21 million, is now IDR 1.2 million. 74.21 million. After taxes, a member of the House of Representatives’ net monthly salary is Rp 65.59 million.
