The Happy Football Festival was filled with thousands of visitors

Thousands of visitors packed the Happy Football People's Festival held at Lapangan Banteng in Jakarta on Sunday evening (July 19, 2026). They came to take part in a series of activities planned for the festival, primarily a group viewing of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

The atmosphere at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, was filled with thousands of people who packed the Happy Football People’s Festival on Sunday evening (July 19, 2026). The crowd’s enthusiasm was evident from the afternoon leading up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.

Besides featuring a group viewing (nobar), the festival also offered a variety of entertainment, from a SME bazaar, musical performances, and various activities that attracted visitors from various regions.

One visitor, Reza (24), came wearing Argentine national team attire. He said he came specifically to experience the atmosphere of the World Cup final with thousands of other supporters.

“Of course I support Argentina. I’m optimistic that Argentina can win again, like they did at the 2022 World Cup,” said Reza.

Meanwhile, Namira (22) traveled from Bekasi with her friends to enjoy the series of events held at Lapangan Banteng. She said the festival was an attractive choice because it combined entertainment, culinary delights, and group viewing in one location.

“I came with friends. We had a quick bite to eat, and then we’ll watch the final here,” said Namira.

Unlike Reza, Namira is backing the Spanish national team to lift the 2026 World Cup trophy.

“My favorite is Spain, and I hope they win the World Cup this year,” she said.

Ezki Suyanto, Media Center Coordinator for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Broadcast at TVRI, said the festival involved more than 100 local MSMEs offering a variety of food, drinks, and creative products.

“Hundreds of local MSMEs are participating in the festival. This is our commitment to boosting the local economy,” said Ezki.

In addition to the MSME bazaar, the entertainment stage also featured performances by musicians such as Juan Reza, Armada, and Tipe-X. According to Ezki, the number of visitors continued to grow as the match kicked off, given that the festival area can accommodate up to 10,000 people.

“The public’s enthusiasm is very high. We expect the number of visitors to continue to increase once the final match begins,” he concluded.
