ICON BALI Presents Balinese Cultural Art Performances Every Day
A visit to ICON BALI offers more than just shopping, dining, and soaking in the beachfront atmosphere of Sanur. This lifestyle destination also provides an opportunity to discover the stories, traditions, and performing arts that make Bali so special.
ICON BALI is committed to showcasing the very best of Bali in a unique way—fostering both a sense of wonder among visitors and a deep-seated pride among the Balinese people.
Daily Balinese Dance Performances at the Cultural Stage
Located on the Beach Floor, the Cultural Stage Amphitheater at ICON BALI features tiered seating where visitors can relax, enjoy food and drinks, and take in the beauty of Balinese dance performances. The stage comes alive daily with authentic Balinese shows—choreographed exclusively for ICON BALI—that share the island’s rich heritage and artistic culture with guests from around the globe.
Manik Angkeran – The Legend of the Bali Strait (daily at 1:00 PM) brings the legend behind the Bali Strait to the stage.
Parade of the Goddesses (daily at 5:00 PM) introduces various goddesses from Balinese mythology and belief systems. Beginning at the Cultural Stage, the parade travels throughout ICON BALI, allowing visitors to meet the goddesses in person and take photographs.
Ramayana Ballet – Contemporary Balinese Dance Performance (daily at 7:15 PM) presents the timeless tale of Rama and Sinta through a contemporary lens, utilizing the expressive movements and artistic elements of Balinese dance.
Sunset Sea Fountain by the Beachfront
A water and laser show takes place daily at 7:00 PM along the beachfront at ICON BALI. While Sanur is traditionally associated with sunrises, ICON BALI now introduces a highly anticipated sunset experience. This spectacle serves as the perfect prelude to an enchanting evening at ICON BALI and in Sanur, inviting both locals and tourists to enjoy the twilight atmosphere together. Monthly Cultural Performance
For a more grand-scale cultural experience, ICON BALI presents “Maha Bali – A Colossal Cultural Performance,” held once a month at 7:30 PM during the full moon. This large-scale production features an extensive cast of dancers, elaborate costumes, unique props, and special effects, alongside interactive elements that create a personal experience for the audience. Staged at the Cultural Stage, Maha Bali draws inspiration from the legend of the Moon Goddess and Kala Rau—figures from Balinese mythology associated with lunar eclipses.
Through these experiences, ICON BALI aims to showcase the very best of Bali to the world by blending a modern lifestyle with the island’s rich cultural heritage. Beyond being a destination for shopping, dining, and leisure, ICON BALI serves as a stage for Balinese arts and traditions to reach a broader audience, including international visitors. The performance also provides a platform for local artists and cultural groups to showcase their talents, gain greater exposure, and share the beauty of Balinese culture with the world.
