LOGILA
Qodir, a band fronted by Dul Jaelani (bassist), Deriel Sudiro (guitarist), and Axel CB (drummer), formed in 2022, coinciding with the release of their debut album, a nine-song collection titled “Seribu Bulan.” Now, Qodir returns with a collaboration with Arya Novanda on their latest single, “LOGILA!”. This song conveys the spirit of resistance against oppressors.
As a band with rock roots, Qodir brings the energy of resistance and the collective voice of the younger generation. Meanwhile, Arya Novanda brings a touch of blues, a genre born from the cries of the lower classes, filled with both pain and resilience. This meeting of two worlds presents a new dimension in “LOGILA!”: an anthem that is not just an angry cry, but also a portrait of the inner voice of a heart that is tired and fed up, but still chooses to speak out.
For Dul Jaelani, “LOGILA!” was born from personal experience: feelings of oppression and alienation from those closest to him. But over time, he realized that this experience wasn’t unique to him. On a broader spectrum, it turns out that so many people out there feel the same way. Through this song, Qodir wants to convey that every suppressed feeling deserves to be expressed, not just bottled up.
