Exciting news has come from the culinary world at Harper Cikarang. One of Harper Cikarang’s top talents, Chef Reno, has won first place. This victory marks the second consecutive year that Harper Cikarang has taken home the first-place trophy in the prestigious Archipelago Black Box Battle competition.
The competition, held at the Aston Cirebon Hotel & Convention Center on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, brought together the best chefs from various hotels in the Archipelago chain across West Java.
Harper Cikarang sent a representative, Chef Reno Gani Saputra, to showcase Harper’s signature culinary creativity and expertise.
In the Black Box Battle, each participant was challenged to create a special dish using secret ingredients that were only announced at the start of the competition.
With limited time, the chefs had to rely on their creativity, technique, and culinary instincts to produce the best dishes.
Thanks to his innovation and stunning flavors, Chef Reno wowed the judges with a score of 402 and took home first place, establishing Harper Cikarang as one of the hotels with the most accomplished culinary teams in the Archipelago chain in West Java.
