Ahmad Dhani Proposes Anti-Flexibility Law
Ahmad Dhani, a member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), conveyed several directives from President Prabowo Subianto during a meeting with the entire Gerindra faction of the DPR RI this evening.
Dhani stated that during the meeting, he proposed an anti-flexing law for the DPR RI to discuss.
“There were many directives. But just now, the most important one was Mr. Prabowo’s suggestion that Gerindra DPR members should not flex,” Dhani said on Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, on Monday (September 8, 2025).
“I agree with that. I’ve never flexed, right? And finally, I proposed to the chairman, Bang Dasco, that there should be an anti-flexing law like in China, and Bang Dasco agreed,” he added.
He also hopes this law can be discussed by Commission I of the DPR RI. He wants Indonesians to stop flaunting their wealth.
“Hopefully, Commission I will roll out the anti-flexing law so that Indonesians will no longer flex,” he concluded.
