President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the 2025 Economic Package Program. The announcement of the latest policy was made by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto during a press conference at the Presidential Office, Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, on Monday (September 15, 2025).
“I was present with the President earlier to discuss the policies we will implement, which we call the 2025 Economic Package Program. This program consists of eight accelerated programs in 2025, four programs to be continued in 2026, and five programs related to government vehicles for the workforce,” said Airlangga.
The 2025 economic package, which will be distributed until the end of the year, consists of eight programs: an internship program for college graduates, who will receive a stipend equivalent to the provincial minimum wage of approximately IDR 3.3 million per month for six months.
Second, the government-funded Article 21 income tax extension, which is increased by 100% for tourism-related sectors for the remaining three months of the 2025 fiscal year.
Third, two months of food assistance in the form of 10 kg of rice, with an additional benefit in December if budget realization is not optimal.
Fourth, a 50% reduction in JKK and JKM contributions for six months for non-wage workers, including online transportation drivers (ojol), motorcycle taxi drivers, drivers, couriers, and logistics providers.
Fifth, the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan housing benefit program provides a relaxation of mortgage (KPR/KPA/PUMP/PP) interest rates to a maximum of the BI Rate plus 3%.
Sixth, a cash-for-work program through the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Public Works, in the form of daily wages, with projects running from September to December 2025.
Seventh, an acceleration of deregulation regulations stipulated in Government Regulation (PP) 28 of 2025.
Eighth, an urban program to improve housing quality and provide a marketing platform for the gig economy, particularly MSMEs. The total budget for this economic package, consisting of eight programs, is IDR 16.23 trillion.
