Gaon Chart Music Award merupakan salah satu ajang penghargaan tahunan di industri musik Korea Selatan.
Penghargaan ini lebih berfokus pada lagu dan album daripada musisi. Ketentuan penilaian bagi para pemenang, diberikan berdasarkan lagu dengan jumlah unduhan dan streaming digital tertinggi untuk setiap bulan dari Desember 2020 hingga November 2021.
Gaon Chart Music Awards tahun ini digelar secara langsung di Jamsil Arena, Seoul, Pada Kamis (27/1/22). Ajang penghargaan tersebut dipandu oleh JaeJae, Sieun STAYC, dan Doyoung NCT.
Diduga karena alasan pandemi, para artis dan musisi yang menjadi pemenang akan menerima penghargaan dari rumah masing-masing tanpa hadir secara langsung di acara tersebut. Meski begitu, ada beberapa penampilan langsung seperti dari STAYC, NCT Dream, NCT 127, dan Red Velvet.
Tahun ini, BTS kembali mendominasi ajang Gaon Chart Music Awards ke-11 2022 setelah memborong sejumlah piala, Kamis (27/1) waktu Korea Selatan. Penyanyi solo, IU juga berhasil mendominasi dengan meraih lima piala, termasuk kembali memenangkan kategori Lyricist of the Year.
