Amanda Caesa: Trouble
Singer-songwriter Amanda Caesa is set to release her latest single this September. “Trouble” tells the story of someone trapped in a toxic relationship, characterized by a one-sided obsession with their partner, but finding it difficult to break free due to the internal struggle between logic that wants to end it and a heart that still hopes,” Amanda explained. According to the December 23rd-born soloist, the inspiration for “Trouble” came from herself and her surroundings. She admitted to having been through a similar phase and believes she’s not alone.
The creative process for “Trouble” was carried out by Amanda and Syahravi Dewanda. The two wrote the song in just one day of workshops that began with a casual jam session. Bossa nova was chosen as the genre because Amanda wanted to explore songs that suited her vocal character. “It was perfect. At the time, I was into Laufey’s songs and was amazed by how he conveyed emotions through simple, yet deeply meaningful lyrics. That made me want to try something more experimental, yet still personal,” she added.
