Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a surprising statement regarding cell phones. He made this statement while receiving a delegation from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday in Jerusalem.

“You have cell phones? You hold a piece of Israel if you have cell phones. You know that,” he told the US delegation, in a video that went viral on social media, as reported by TRT on Thursday (September 18, 2025).

“Many cell phones, medicines, food… Do you eat cherry tomatoes? Do you know where they are made? I don’t like cherry tomatoes, but they are an Israeli product, as are many other things,” he added.

Netanyahu made this statement suddenly while explaining why Americans should recognize the benefits they receive from Israel.

He denied that Israel was isolated, especially due to growing international criticism over the genocide in Gaza.

“Some of them have stopped delivering weapons components. Can we get out of this situation? Yes, we can. We are quite skilled at producing weapons,” Netanyahu said.

“As with intelligence, we share both with the United States. Most of your intelligence information. And our weapons systems, we share with the United States. We appreciate the fact that we have consistent American support despite attempts to erode it,” he concluded.
