Samsung Allegedly Taking a Dig at Apple with an Ad Mocking the iPhone Design?
Samsung is back in the spotlight after releasing a new ad that openly mocks Apple for its lack of design changes on the iPhone 16.
In the ad, Samsung uses elements very similar to Apple’s iconic “Think Different” campaign, which was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Amidst the dull displays of phones, the brightly colored Galaxy Z Flip 6 appears, featuring eye-catching opening and folding animations.
The use of the word “different” is clearly reminiscent of Apple’s legendary “Think Different” ad campaign.
The ad mocks Apple for its perceived lack of design changes to the newly released iPhone 16 lineup, compared to the previous iPhone 15.
The “Think Different” campaign itself is one of the most famous advertising campaigns in Apple’s history, launched during Steve Jobs’ return to the company.
Design is considered a key factor in Apple’s success and differentiation from competitors.
However, in this latest ad, Samsung is trying to revive the spirit of that campaign to show that they are a leader in smartphone design, while Apple is seen as stagnant.
