President Inaugurates New Minister and Establishes Ministry of Hajj and Umrah
President Prabowo Subianto has again reshuffled the Red and White Cabinet. In this reshuffle, the President also announced the formation of a new ministry, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary, delivered a press statement at the Presidential Office on Monday afternoon (September 8, 2025). He explained that this decision was made after discussions in the House of Representatives (DPR) and an evaluation conducted directly by the President.
“The President has signed the decree establishing the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, along with the appointment of ministers and deputy ministers, who will be inaugurated this afternoon,” said Prasetyo.
In addition to the new ministry, five other ministerial positions are also undergoing changes. The inauguration of all new officials will take place at the State Palace in Central Jakarta this Monday afternoon.
List of Ministries Undergoing Changes:
1. Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs
2. Ministry of Finance
3. Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers
4. Ministry of Cooperatives
5. Ministry of Youth and Sports
Prasetyo added that this reshuffle is part of the President’s efforts to strengthen government performance to better address national and global challenges.
“Hopefully, this decision will bring goodness to the nation, state, and all Indonesian people,” he concluded.
