The Ministry of Social Affairs will distribute social assistance to victims of the recent demonstrations. The compensation is planned to reach 15 million rupiah for victims who died and 5 million rupiah for those who were seriously injured.
“Yesterday’s case was the same as the ‘adaptive social assistance’ program, which is part of the Ministry of Social Affairs,” said Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) at the Presidential Palace Complex on Thursday (September 4, 2025).
“In the event of death, the compensation for heirs is 15 million rupiah, and for those who were seriously injured, it is 5 million rupiah,” he added.
The 15 million rupiah compensation will be distributed to heirs, while for those who were seriously injured, it will be distributed to the individual concerned.
Furthermore, the government can also provide additional assistance if needed, such as for social rehabilitation.
“This is the data I just received. Of course, we can’t differentiate between members of the public and officers. Both are victims,” ​​he concluded.
