The Hearts of Two Maestros: Ebiet & Iwan Fals
The voices of two Indonesian music maestros return with a new twist on the legendary work “Titip Rindu Buat Ayah.” This meaningful project, initiated by Musica Studios, is presented by two inspiring figures, Ebiet G. Ade and Iwan Fals, in a collaboration that unites their long journeys in the music world.
Written by Ebiet G. Ade, the song conveys a deeper emotional nuance. Iwan Fals’s voice resonates like a dialogue between two longtime friends who share a deep respect for each other’s work. Ebiet G. Ade expressed, “This song has a very personal meaning because it stems from my deep longing for my parents. Since junior high school, I’ve had to separate from them for school, and that feeling of longing is what I express in this song.”
Meanwhile, Iwan Fals also expressed his gratitude for this opportunity. “I joked with Mas Ebiet, this collaboration is like a wide forehead because we both have lost our hair. I am truly grateful to be able to meet him in this duet. Alhamdulillah, I am also still given the health to sing together,” he said. The collaboration of the two musicians initiated by Musica Studios was made possible thanks to the dedication of various parties.
