Cak Imin highlights the Indonesian Textile Industry
Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), has called on the government to support the textile industry.
According to Cak Imin, the collapse of the textile industry is due to entrepreneurs who abused credit, ultimately leading to imprisonment.
“The collapse of the textile industry is due to stupid entrepreneurs who abused credit, ultimately leading to imprisonment,” he said, as quoted on Saturday (August 16, 2025).
Therefore, Cak Imin stated that the government needs to support the industry so it can develop and produce goods according to market demand, at competitive prices, and with good quality.
Furthermore, Cak Imin stated that the government needs to encourage industrialization while analyzing and mapping the conditions of each industrial sector, especially those that are currently slowing or have not fully recovered from the impact of the pandemic.
