Thousands of Pro-Palestinian Australians Protest on Sydney Bridge
Sydney witnessed one of the largest solidarity actions for Palestine ever held in Australia. An estimated 300,000 people crowded the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Sunday (August 3, 2025) to voice their support for the Palestinian people.
A video uploaded by the TikTok account @digi.diaries_ shows a sea of people filling the iconic bridge, carrying Palestinian flags and various posters bearing messages of peace. The caption read, “Sydney showed up for humanity ❤️???????”, accompanied by the hashtags #FreePalestine and #PalestineWillBeFree.
The action received a warm welcome from netizens worldwide. Many applauded the courage of Sydney residents to stand up for humanity amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
According to local media reports, the peaceful action involved various communities, human rights activists, community leaders, and families with children, who unitedly called for an end to the violence and genocide in Palestine.
The large turnout made this the largest pro-Palestine demonstration ever held in Australia, and a symbol of global solidarity with the Palestinian people’s struggle.
